On Sunday, November 24, 2013, churches in Morrison, IL, will present the sixth annual “We Sing for Their Supper” community concert. It will be held at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street, Morrison, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A free-will offering will be taken to benefit the Morrison Christmas Helping Hands and the Morrison Friends Food Pantry.
The date was specifically chosen as a way for the community to observe Thanksgiving, celebrate the musical gifts of the Morrison churches, and help those in need.
Churches presenting individual performances include: Bethesda Lutheran; Brethren in Christ; Ebenezer Reformed; Emmanuel Reformed; First Baptist; First Presbyterian; Morrison Christian Reformed; Morrison United Methodist; St. Mary’s Catholic; St. Peter Lutheran.
Organists Pat Cassens, Marguerite Clark, and Rich Criss will provide special music. The hymns will be accompanied by Criss and Brenda Oosterhouse. The concert will conclude with a performance by a massed choir of nearly 100 singers.
Light refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Hall following the concert. The entire community is invited to share in this evening of thanksgiving, music, and inspiration.
