On Sunday, November 16, 2014, churches in Morrison, IL, will present the seventh annual “We Sing for Their Supper” community concert. Sponsored by the Morrison Ministers Council, the concert will be held at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street, Morrison, IL, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A free-will offering will be taken to benefit the Morrison Friends Food Pantry and Morrison Christmas Helping Hands.
The November 16 date was chosen as a way for the community to observe Thanksgiving, celebrate the musical gifts of Morrison churches, and help those in need.
Churches presenting individual performances include: Bethesda Lutheran, Brethren in Christ, Ebenezer Reformed, Emmanuel Reformed, First Presbyterian, Morrison Christian Reformed, Morrison United Methodist, St. Mary’s Catholic, and St. Peter Lutheran.
Organists Pat Cassens and Marguerite Clark will perform organ preludes and postludes. The concert will conclude with a performance by a massed choir of over 100 singers.
Light refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Hall following the concert. The entire community is invited to share in this evening of thanksgiving, music, and inspiration.
