Wayne Farrall, 95, of Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the Nursing Home.
Wayne was born December 12, 1917, in Prophetstown, IL, to Clarence and Corda (Stewart) Farrell. He was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a graduate of Prophetstown High School in Prophetstown. Wayne served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the South Pacific from 1941 to 1945. He was engaged in farming in the rural Morrison/Round Grove, IL, areas most of his life. Following retirement, he was employed as a grounds custodian at the Pleasant View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Morrison. Wayne was a member of the Ebenezer Reformed Church and of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau, both in Morrison.
Survivors include one son, Wilbur Farrell of McHenry, IL; one brother-in-law, Art Nickerson of Davenport, IA; a special friend, Viola Stralow of Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleanor; three sisters, Margaret (Richard) Huston, Joyce (Russell) Selander, and Kathleen Nickerson.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

VISITATION: 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service, Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
