Warren Nice, 101, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison.
Warren was born January 28, 1916, in Morrison, to Paul and Ruby (Cobb) Nice. He was educated in the Robertson Grade School in rural Whiteside County and attended Morrison High School. Warren married Mary Myrle Howe on June 9, 1940, in Burlington, IA. She died October 19, 2013. Warren farmed, alongside his wife, in the Union Grove, rural Morrison, area. He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church and the Whiteside County Farm Bureau. Warren enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy K. Stone of Morrison, Beth L. Thornburg of Clifton, CO, Marilyn J. (Brian) Dolieslager of Lyndon, IL, and Melissa L.N. (Eric) Arey of Tiffin, IA; one son, Merle E. (Nancy) Nice of Sterling, IL; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Sue Pape and Eleanor Nice, both of Morrison.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Myrle; two sisters, Catherine Workman and Doris Pilgrim; one brother, Ellsworth Nice.
