On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at approximately 5:45 p.m. at a residence in rural Sterling, IL, Whiteside County Deputies arrested 45-year-old Summer S. Cleland, on three Warrants out of Volusia County, FL. The Warrants were for Felony Theft; Unlawful Possession of Cocaine; Unlawful Possession of Schedule II Substance. These Warrants were issued for No Bond.
Cleland was taken into custody after Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office had been alerted to the location of Cleland, and that she was in Whiteside County, possibly trying to avoid arrest in Florida. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office worked with authorities in Florida, who issued a Nation-wide Warrant for Cleland with No Bond allowed. Cleland was taken into custody without incident.
This is merely a charge, and she is innocent until proven guilty.
