Wanda L. Francis, age 68 of Lyndon, IL, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at her home.
Wanda was born on January 31, 1946, in Sterling, IL, to Lyle S. and Grace (Wuebben) Finley. She married Arman D. Francis on November 21, 1964, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1991. Wanda worked as an assembler at Sterling Multi Products for 30 years before retirement. She was the Village Treasurer in Lyndon for 11 years. Wanda enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and her family.
Survivors include her step-mother, Ruth Finley of Rock Falls, IL; two daughters, Lisa (Jerry) Stuart of Morrison, IL, and Lori (Dan) Davis of Lyndon; one sister, Ruthann Johnson of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Mitchell (Alexis Masse) Schaller, Jordan Schaller, Kyle Stuart and Jenessa Davis (Matt Anderson), and one great-grandchild, Karson Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister in infancy.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Prophetstown.
Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Cheri Stewart officiating.
Burial will be at Lyndon Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her memory.
