Dana Nelson, Whiteside County Clerk, announced that new voter registration cards are being mailed out to all registered voters in Whiteside County in the next few weeks. Please take the time to make sure that your name and address are correct on the new card. If you do not receive your new card, please contact the County Clerk’s office at 815-772-5189, as there might be a problem with your registration.
State law directs that if the new voter ID card is returned to the County Clerk by the Post Office as “undeliverable to the address listed,” the voter may be changed to a “suspended” status and eventually dropped from the registration files.
We want to make sure that everyone is registered with their correct name and address, so that there are no problems on Election Day. Please note that your polling place is listed on your registration card for your convenience.
Also, enclosed with your new Voter Registration card is a pamphlet on becoming an Election Judge. We are in need of more Election Judges in Whiteside County and want everyone to be aware of what is involved with becoming a judge. If you are interested, please fill out the information and mail it to the County Clerk’s Office, 200 E. Knox Street, Morrison, IL 61270.
