Live streaming began Wednesday, April 1. As of this posting, Friday, April 17, the Fulton eaglets are very large, compared to the two babies fledged this week in the Arconic nest in Davenport, IA (https://livestream.com/accounts/1538473/eaglecam.)
There are two males and one female (Valor 1, Valor II, and Starr, respectively.) Each takes a turn at brooding. Show left-to-right are Valor 2, Valor 1, and Starr. The birds have been together since the fall of 2017; their first nesting was 2018 with two eaglets fledged. In 2019 three offspring hatched.
This project is in partnership with U. S .Corps of Engineers, U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and JCWifi. “However we need your help. FAQ – What is the bright light at night? This is an infrared camera that allows us to see the birds; they do not know it is there.
FAQ – Why don’t I see all three adults? At different times of nesting season, there will be limited times that all adults are at the nest. Be assured they are in the trees nearby.
FAQ – Why are they shaking their heads? Generally in May, gnats are in full “bloom.”
