The Whiteside Forum will host another movie night Thursday, March 27, 2014, showing the award-winning documentary “American Outrage.”  Please join us for the presentation and a brief discussion period to follow.

Showtime will be 6:30 p.m. in the Program Room of the Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.

The movie lasts 56 minutes.  It is the story of the Dann sisters, two Native American women of the Western Shoshone tribe living in Nevada.  They challenge the U. S. government for land rights, taking their case to the U. S. Supreme Court.

This will be a great lead-in to our Friday, April 11, Whiteside Forum conference on Indigenous People.  That event will feature a panel discussion representing the following peoples:  New Zealand – Maori; Bolivia – Quechua; United States of America – Dine’/Navajo.
