On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced security upgrades to Driver’s License/ID Cards. He also explained changes to the Issuance Process, which meets Federal REAL ID requirements. Such changes are designed to protect citizens from fraud and identity theft.
