Shelby Veltrop, Senior Center for the Morrison High School Fillies, recently concluded her Varsity Basketball career and is being recognized for her accomplishments. She has been voted:
1. Unanimous 1st Team All-Conference TRAC-West
2. Associated Press All-State Honorable Mention
3. 2nd Team All-State by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association
4. Player of the Year for the Sauk Valley All-Area Team.
She was also invited to play in the Pepsi Illinois vs. Iowa Senior All- Star game on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL.
Shelby Veltrop finished her MHS career as the All-Time Leading Scorer, Rebounder, and Shot Blocker in Girls Basketball history! This was an exceptional accomplishment, given that her Sophomore year (2021) was the COVID-19 season, when only ten games were played.
