The United Way of Whiteside County held their Annual Recognition Campaign Celebration on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Bethel Church in Sterling, IL.
Over 150 people were on hand when Jennifer Heintzelman, left, received the Outstanding Community Service Award. She was acknowledged for Chairing the 2014 and 2015 United Way campaigns. This award was presented by Jeff Detra, right, United Way Past President.
- Frantz Mfg. received the “Company of the Year” award.
- Halo Branded Solutions was honored for the largest increase in giving during the campaign.
- Others honored were McCormick’s Landscaping and Sterling Park District employees.
The United Way of Whiteside County needed to raise $720,000 to support its 20 local Partner Agencies and their 37 programs. The amount raised during the campaign was $739,432.
Detra said at the lunch, “Once again, community members have strongly supported our United Way, to be one single group, to increase the capacity for Whiteside County residents. Thanks to everyone that made a donation or pledge to help us surpass the amount needed to fund our Partner Agencies during our 75 year anniversary.”
