As school begins and calendar pages turn to September, so does the life of the church begin its programs for both youth and adults. Under the leadership of our new, vivacious Pastor Sun-ah Kang, programs are being added and standard programs are being tweaked. Morrison United Methodist Church invites children, parents, friends, and family to return to church for this new and exciting year. The location is 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.
Rally Day, Sunday, September 11, 2022, is a day in the Fall when the church welcomes its children and adults to Sunday School after a summer break. It marks the beginning of the Church calendar.
Rally Day coincides with Grandparents Day. President Jimmy Carter signed this day as a legal holiday in 1978, to observe the bond of love and support between grandparents and their grandchildren. There will be tributes by grandchildren to the grandparents in our congregation and a meaningful video to mark this special day. So, grandchildren of any age, bring your Grandpas and Grandmas to Rally Day!
There will be special events and games as the Methodist Church Sunday School resumes on Sunday, September 18. Children are encouraged to bring their backpacks. Pastor Sun-ah will have a special blessing for them. Sunday School will be at 9:00 a.m. and is for children ages Pre-K through 6th grade.
