The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate incidents which occurred within the last few days. The first incident happened on Monday, July 30, 2018, at approximately 1:15 p.m., in rural Morrison, IL. While the resident was home, a male who appeared to be approximately 30 years old, wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt, entered the residence. The homeowner encountered the male and told him to leave. The male told the resident he was just putting a religious flier on the table then immediately left the residence, getting into a cream colored sports utility vehicle. Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office encourage all citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity to local Law Enforcement.
The second incident happened on Tuesday, July 31, at 1:21 a.m., on Moline Road, between Lyndon, and Sterling, IL. A white van was following another vehicle changing speeds, flashing its headlights, causing the other vehicle to pull off to the side of the road. The driver of the vehicle placed a 9-1-1 call and stayed on the telephone with the Dispatcher until a Deputy arrived on scene.
