Tune in to Kim Ewoldsen on the Radio

KimEwoldsenKim Ewoldsen continues her Morrison, IL, publicity messages on local radio stations this month.  She will be interviewed by Brian Zschiesche and offer listeners a question-and-answer session. 

Ewoldsen is both Morrison Chamber of Commerce and Morrison Area Development Corporation Executive Director.  Topics will include Halloween and Christmas events.

She announced, “I will be on WSDR at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, October 19[, 2015,] and on KROS at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, for 15-20 minutes.”  Listeners may call while she is on the air at 815-625-1240

Morrison Halloween Parade and Costume Contest, sponsored by the Morrison Chamber of Commerce and the Cottonwood 4-H Club, will be held Saturday, October 31.  The first 250 kids will receive a treat bag. 

New this year is online pre-registration by visiting http://morrisonhalloweenparade2015.eventbrite.com.  Line-up begins at Community State Bank, 220 E. Main Street, at 12:30 p.m. 

Participants wishing to have their costumes judged need to be lined up by 1:15 p.m.  The parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. and proceed on Main Street to the Post Office. 

From 12:30 to 3:00 a free photo booth will be available, courtesy of Walgreen’s. 

Prizes will be awarded for Most Original, Cutest, Scariest/Funniest, and Group Costumes.  Trophies are sponsored by Farmers National Bank.

 

 

 

ChristmasLogoMorrison Christmas Walk/Parade is Saturday, December 5.  The theme is “Christmas Around the World.” 

Put your creative minds to work and start thinking about float possibilities for the parade. 

Nominate someone we can honor as Grand Marshall of the holiday celebration.  Send your recommendation and justification details to Morrison Chamber of Commerce, 221 W. Main Street, Morrison.
