The Morrison Ministers Council and adult volunteers have an offer that students and parents are sure to appreciate. It is a twice-a-week Homework Club, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m., at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street, Morrison, IL.
Children in grades three through eight–Southside and Junior High Schools–simply bring their homework and appropriate texts to the basement of the church and receive one-on-one instruction.
“We have a lot of volunteers,” reported Kathy Sipes. The adults will print off homework for those students who forget to bring it: no excuses, no missed assignments the next day.
There is no fee. Children receive a snack, too.
Parents must complete a permission slip for their child to attend Homework Club. These will be available in the church basement at the next session, Tuesday, October 1, 2013. The program began Tuesday, September 24.
Call Pastor Craig Sipes at 815-772-4871 to enroll your student.
