CapriNightAre you ready to fulfill a New Year’s Resolution travel goal or bucket list adventure?  Does Italy meet your criteria?  Join Morrison Travel Club (www.morrisontravelclub.com) as we explore the wonders of Italy through art, architecture, and history.

We are delighted to announce our early autumn trip, “Italy:  Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, and Rome,” from Monday, September 23, to Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

You can add an optional extension, exploring “Florence:  Cradle of the Renaissance,” from Wednesday, October 2, to Monday, October 7.  We will enjoy the romantic city of Florence through painting, sculpture, and architecture.  Admire Michelangelo’s David, the Uffizi Museum, the Pitti Palace, and the Boboli Gardens.  We will take a day-trip to the beautifully preserved Renaissance town of Lucca.

Below is the Bay of Naples with iconic Mount Vesuvius in the distance.  Enter excavated buildings of the former port city of Pompeii:  shops, forum, baths, amphitheatre, homes.  Outside the city, marvel at “The Villa of the Mysteries.”  Tour the National Archaeological Museum’s Roman and Greek mosaics, sculptures, and antiquities, salvaged from Pompeii and Herculaneum.

On a day trip to the island of Capri, ride a boat into the cerulean Blue Grotto; take the funicular from the marina to Capri town.  Gather organic garden ingredients for a cooking class under the watchful eye of Vesuvius.  At the Museo Cappella Sansevero (1749) view select frescoes and sculptures.

Next, travel the breathtaking Amalfi Coasti.  Visit a lemon orchard and Limoncello Liqueur Factory, with a tasting and Baba dessert.

We will spend several days exploring the Eternal City of Rome, including the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, and Vatican City.

All this will occur while enjoying the companionship of old friends and new.  Your experienced Tour Directors are Theresa Brandon, Ned J. Nesti, Jr., and Linda White.  Pass this trip information along to friends or family who may be interested!  There is a savings bonus for those who register right away, but registration continues after that deadline.
