Tommy R. Stahl, 70, of Clinton, IA, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at Resthave Home in Morrison, IL.
Tom was born September 21, 1945, in Clinton, to Richard Raymond and Millicent Emile (Snyder) Stahl. He was educated in the Clinton grade schools and was a graduate of Clinton High School. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Veva M. Hart. Tom was employed by the former Chicago and Northwestern Railroad and most recently the Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier years. Tom was an avid Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan. He most of all was known as a family man and a wonderful father and grandfather. Tom loved his loyal pet dog “Scruffy.”
Survivors include his mother, Millicent Stahl of Clinton; four daughters, Tyla Kelly of Camanche, IA, Lori (Randy) Decker of Erie, IL, Sena (Tom) Bartlett of Fulton, IL, and Riki (Chris Leprevost) Stahl of Albany, IL; three grandchildren, Jaci (Brad) Schroeder, Shane Decker, and Ashleigh Decker; two great-grandchildren, Emma Torrez and Elleigh Decker; two sisters, Jolee (Jack) McKenzie of Morrison and Sherry Stahl of Clinton; three brothers, Larry (Judie) Stahl of Chesterfield, MO, Jon (Theresa) Stahl of Colorado Springs, CO, and Al (Robin) Stahl of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his father.
At his request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
