Chamber Coordinator Meridith Layne took the photograph.
At noon, Tuesday, June 27, 2017, Morrison Chamber of Commerce paid a surprise visit to The Cornerstone Agency, Inc., 102 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL. Chamber members happily honored owner Todd Mickley, with the Because Nice Matters, Customer Service Award.
The anonymous nomination indicated numerous examples of Mickley’s service. The certificate read, “In recognition of exemplifying kindness, whether through his work at Cornerstone, the Whiteside County Fair Board, Crossroads Community Church, or many other organizations.” Chamber Coordinator Meridith Layne stated Mickley was nominated for “doing [all this] with a smile.”
The Cornerstone Agency, Inc. is an all-lines, independent insurance agency, writing in six states. The first office opened in 1988 in Tampico, IL; the next year Mickley joined and “Cornerstone Agency” officially began. Ten years later, Mickley Insurance opened its doors in Morrison. He purchased the current building in 2008.
Congratulations to Todd Mickley, not because nice is easy, but because nice matters!
