The final day of summer, Friday, September 21, 2012, was decidedly “fallish,” with temperatures that stubbornly remained in the 50’s. So, this flatbed trailer full of brand spanking new teardrop campers seemed destined for warmer climes. Between 5:00 and 5:45 p.m., the driverless trailer was parked in the lot of Family Dollar Store, 414 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.
There were two styles and brands. The three smaller campers were from Little Guy Teardrop Camper/Trailer. Each was marked “Little Guy Five Wide.” Decorative diagonal tire treads marked the first as a Rough Rider model. Little Guy Teardrop Camper/Trailer is based in Sugarcreek, OH. Their recreational vehicles are made by “skilled Amish craftsmen.” This link explains the product line: http://www.golittleguy.com/teardrops/.
