Tiny Art Show Materials Available February 10

Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, is partnering with The Loft on Main, 112 E. Main Street, to host a community-wide, second “Tiny Art Show.”  The initial, multi-age event in February 2022 saw 500 kits put into the hands of painting enthusiasts.  Seventy percent of those canvases and easels (350) were returned and displayed–first at Odell Public Library and then in The Loft on Main.

Beginning Monday, February 10, 2025, people of all ages and abilities are invited to participate, by picking up a “tiny art kit.”  The Library is open that day from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  After Monday, kits may be obtained on any day and time period the Library is open.

Kits include a 4″x4″ canvas panel, acrylic paints, paintbrush, and art information.  Participants may use alternative materials, so long as the art fits onto the provided canvas.

This free activity is open to artists and non-artists, and any theme or subject may be explored.  Artists are asked to keep paintings family-friendly.

Completed works should be submitted by Friday, March 7, to Odell Public Library.  Morrison miniature masterpieces will be displayed in this repeat “Tiny Art Show,” for the community to enjoy–from Monday, March 10, through Friday, March 28.

In April, a selection of Tiny Art pieces will be displayed in The Loft on Main.

Look for updates and resources on the Odell’s and Loft’s social media pages.

Special thanks goes to The Loft on Main and Thrivent Financial for funding this celebration of art in our community.
