tim boonstraTim Boonstra, 39, of 404 E. Winfield, Morrison, IL, died Saturday, August 29, 2015, near Lyndon, IL, as a result of an automobile accident.

Tim was born August 25, 1976, in Morrison, to James T. and Connie (McAndrews) Boonstra. He was educated in the Morrison schools and was a 1995 graduate of Morrison High School. He was also a graduate of the John T. Blong Technology Center in Davenport, IA, as a Journeyman Electrician. Tim married Jenny L. Hanson on May 22, 2004, in Morrison. He co-owned and operated MRT Electric in Tampico, IL. Tim was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison. He was an avid arrowhead, rock, and artifact collector. He enjoyed anything outside–hiking, boating, fishing, and especially the family cabin in Prophetstown, IL. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needed help. The most important thing of his life was his family and the time spent with them.

Survivors include his wife, Jenny; one daughter, Zayley Boonstra at home; two sons, Zayden and Austin Boonstra both at home; his father and mother, Jim and Connie Boonstra of Lyndon; one brother, Tom (Donna) Boonstra of Morrison; one niece, Carly Boonstra; one nephew, Connor Boonstra; his father-in-law, Tom Hanson of Fulton, IL; his mother-in-law, Vicki Hanson of Morrison; one sister-in-law, Joanna Klein of Morrison; one brother-in-law, Josh (Sarah) Hanson of Savanna, IL.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ed and Midge McAndrews, and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Eleanor M. Boonstra.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL

CO-OFFICIATING:  Rev. Mark Winkelman, Senior Pastor at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL, and Rev. Mike Winkelman, Associate Pastor, St. Peter Lutheran Church

VISITATION:  4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT:  Lyndon Township Cemetery, Lyndon, IL
