Assistant Editor Jerry Lindsey captured the spirited events.

Morrison High School held its annual THUSE Pep Rally, on Thursday, September 22, 2022, starting at 5:30 p.m., on the football field. Admission to the varied student, staff, and adult activities was $2 at the gate, or by showing a pre-purchased THUSE button. Below are a sample of the entertaining happenings.

The 2022 Homecoming Court was introduced and a King and Queen were announced: Owen Mussman and Shelby Veltrop.

A traditional Mom Pons routine was included; then they formed pyramids. Powder Puff skirmishes took place between Sophomores vs Juniors; Freshmen vs Seniors; winners of those games vie for the championship. Dads of MHS Seniors competed. Four girls and then four boys raced to down a DQ Grill & Chill burger and slushy.

Morrison Fire Department lit the night sky with a super flame, symbolizing how “fired up” the crowd was, and sending everyone home feeling an enthusiastic “glow” of school spirit.
