xmasMusicOn Wednesday, December 16, 2015, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Windmill Cultural Center, 111 Tenth Avenue, Fulton, IL, three diverse musical groups will entertain during 20-minute performances.  A holiday setting will welcome visitors.

The event is given without charge, and the building is easily accessible.

Chuck Dykstra is psalmist and cantor at Immaculate Conception Church in Fulton.  He has been a voice student of Rich Criss, Morrison, IL, for seven years.  Dykstra’s wife, Mardelle, inspired Chuck’s late-in-life hobby.  She has been a liturgical musician for 20 years, the last ten while at Immaculate Conception Church.

Andrew Calhoun directs the choir for Second Reformed Church in Fulton.  He also teaches violin and viola at Griggs Music in Davenport, IA, and is the principal viola player in the Muscatine Symphony.  Calhoun studied music at universities and privately.

The Sunbeams are women from the community who primarily sing at nursing homes.  They are a robust, happy, gathering of mature women, who love to bring musical cheer to their audiences.
