Thomson United Methodist Church, 1901 IL Route 84, Thomson, IL, is hosting an evening of Easter music and fellowship, on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. The cantata starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Sesquicentennial Choir will present “The Splendor of Easter,” a musical contemplation of the Easter Season, describing the events of Holy Week, culminating in the Resurrection.
This event is free to all. Area residents are encouraged to attend and share in Thomson’s Easter Celebration.
Pastor Steven Newell of York Baptist Church is the narrator; Gayle Hidalgo provides the dramatic piano accompaniment. Choir members include residents of Thomson, Fulton, Savanna, and Mt. Carroll, IL, and Clinton, IA.
The church will provide light refreshments.
