The Thomson Lions Club will sponsor the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Unit at the York Township Public Library, Main Street, Thomson, IL, during Depot Day festivities, Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. This free eye screening can help detect macular degeneration and glaucoma. Diabetic Retinopathy is the leading cause of new blindness in adults in the United States today. Early detection is a major factor in the prevention of visual loss.
This free screening is sponsored by the Thomson Lions Club, in conjunction with the Lions of Illinois Foundation and Illinois Retina Associates, S.C. All are welcome to have eye photographs to determine any problems. For more information call 815-259-3168.
