The Thomson, IL, Lions Club held its first Fall Music Festival in the Lions Park, on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Musical groups participating included Dave Clucker; Will Mueller; Grant Stiles; the Melon Bellies.
A modest crowd shared the afternoon, with Dusty’s Pizza furnishing refreshments in the park. Dancing was enjoyed on the basketball court.
The Lions Club wishes to thank the participants, Thomson Library, McGinnis Melon Farms, and Clint Stiles for helping to make an afternoon of community fun. This event was chaired by Lion Aaron Thomson.
The next community event sponsored by the Lions is the Free Pizza Party, at Subs 2 Go, 800 One Mile Road, Thomson, on Thursday, October 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Free pizza will be provided by the Thomson Lions Club, and all are invited.
This event is being sponsored to acquaint people with the services and programs that the Lions provide in the community. Lions is an International Service Club, that provides assistance to those with sight and hearing impairments at no charge.
