Posted by

WoodTreeBaseThe York Township Public Library and the Thomson Chamber of Commerce announce the annual Christmas Festival of Trees.  Neighboring community members are welcome to join in the fun.

Entries are being sought from businesses; organizations; school, service, and social groups; churches; individuals.

Participate in the seasonal fun by sponsoring a decorated tree.  There is no entry fee.

Trees will be displayed in the Community Room of the York Township Public Library, 1005 W. Main Street, (turn west off IL Route 84), Thomson, IL.

Bring your own tree, which must be under 6′ feet tall, and decorate it any way you wish, to bring a festive atmosphere and the spirit of Christmas.

Trees will be accepted starting Monday, November 26, 2018, and must be in place by Thursday, December 6.  Your tree must be removed by Christmas.

Awards will be given by the Chamber for the best tree:  $100 for first, $75 for second, and $25 for third place.  Visitors will vote for their favorite, too.

For more information contact DeeAnn at the Thomson Library, 815-259-2480 and register your tree.
