Theodore “Ted” P. Crynock, 75, of Prophetstown, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport, Iowa.
Ted was born on June 29, 1940 in Erie, PA, the son of Stephen and Mary E. (Detrich) Crynock. He married Helen White on May 7, 1960, in Erie, PA. Ted was employed by General Electric as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, retiring in 2005. He was a family orientated man, proud to be called Grandpa. With his family he cooked, created multiple cook books, built model airplanes, worked on electronics, and remodeled homes.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; two daughters, Carol (Dwayne) Davis of Simi Valley, CA, and Michele Folsom of Morrison, IL; two sons, Stephen (Joanne) Crynock of Fredonia, WI, and Thomas (Natasha) Crynock of Buford, GA; one son-in-law, Richard Gahm of Overland Park, KS; one sister, Marie Dzuricky of Erie, PA; seven grandchildren, Samuel, Alyssa, Sara, Matthew (Ashley), Erica, Ryan, and Nicholas.
Ted was ushered into Heaven by his daughter, Lisa (Crynock) Gahm; his parents; his brother, Gerald; son-in-law, Gene Folsom.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, November 6, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home, 46 Grove Street, in Prophetstown, IL.
