The Sawmill Museum Food & Beverage Fest

Posted by

FoodFestOn Thursday, January 17, 2019, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., The Sawmill Museum is hosting its first Food & Beverage Fest.  The “Fest” will feature 20+ vendors from around the area, providing samples of food and drink.  Drink vendors are breweries, wineries, and distilleries manufacturers, so guests can sample from the creators themselves.  For food, the vendors range across almost every food category in the River Cities.  For the price of a ticket, guests can enjoy lots of tasty food and drink samples.

The Sawmill Museum located at 2231 Grant Street Clinton, IA.

“The event is both a fundraiser for the museum and a chance to work with area businesses in a unique way.  We see this event growing…every year.  The museum wants to host more of [this] type of event that showcases area businesses and brings people to the museum,”says Matt Parbs, Director of The Sawmill Museum.  “We have a few other ideas…coming up in 2019 as well, like the Lumberjack Festival, painting nights, and various other programs to make the museum a social spot.”

Tickets are $20 presale and $25 at the door.  Purchase tickets from The Sawmill Museum’s Facebook page or Home Page of their website.  Read about the event on Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/events/313299079465975/.  More vendors are being added daily, as this is the first event like this in Clinton in a few years.

“The committee has been a huge help, as we’ve been reaching out to various businesses to see if they wanted to participate.  It’s something that we definitely see bringing back every year and continuing to grow.  It’s going to be a great evening; vendors will be set up throughout the museum,” says Morgan Pannell, Assistant Director of The Sawmill Museum.

“We hope businesses appreciate the opportunity to showcase their product to a captive audience.  I know a few of our vendors have had name changes or menu changes or are new, and they want to share with the public their new product,” says Mark Mangler, committee member.
