I think the next article should include the point that as more people that sign on for the trip(s) the costs go down, reiterate some info on the Netherlands and have added emphasis on the Belgium extension. Repeating some of the basic info (website, trip number, customer service number) is necessary since the article will be new to some readers.

These quotations, from world travelor Rick Steves’ travel site, will give you a feel for the country that has been a trading power, diamond and tulip center, and home to incomparable artists.  Don’t forget the pastries!

“Holland: windmills, wooden shoes, cheese, tulips, and tranquility. In the Netherlands’ 17th-century Golden Age, Dutch traders established a global economy…and funded a culturally rich society back home. Tiny Holland may just have the world’s densest concentration of great artists, and shows off their works in several world-class museums. Be sure to venture beyond Amsterdam — take advantage of the efficient train network, which puts nearly every Dutch destination within an easy day trip. Rent a bike and cruise the flat countryside. Wherever you roam, look behind its placid exterior, where you’ll find a complex mix of modern technology, honored traditions, quaint countryside, outrageous architecture, and no-nonsense, globally minded people.”

“Nestled between Germany, France, and the Netherlands, Belgium is overlooked by many travelers…making it one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. There are indeed tourists — but not as many as the country’s charms merit. After all, Belgium produces some of Europe’s best beer, creamiest chocolates, most beloved comic strips, and tastiest french fries. From funky urban neighborhoods to tranquil begijnhofs, from old-fashioned lace to high-powered European politics, from cows mooing in a pastoral countryside to gentrified Hanseatic cityscapes bristling with spires…Belgium delights.”

“With pointy gilded architecture, stay-a-while cafés, vivid time-tunnel art, and dreamy canals dotted with swans, Bruges (Brugge in Dutch) is a heavyweight sightseeing destination, as well as a joy. Where else can you ride a bike along a canal, munch mussels and wash them down with the world’s best beer, savor heavenly chocolate, and see Flemish Primitives and a Michelangelo, all within 300 yards of a bell tower that jingles every 15 minutes?”

Brussles–The Kingdom of Belgium enjoys the best of both cultures of neighboring France and the Netherlands. The picturesque, canal-crossed cities of the Dutch-speaking Flemish are complimented by the influence in cuisine, fashion and culture from their French-speaking counterparts, the Walloons. Add to that the country’s reputation as the beer and chocolate capital of Europe and it’s easy to see why so many visitors continue to be charmed by the ubiquitous delights of unassuming Belgium.
