During Free Cookie Night, Sunday, August 23, 2015, at 6:30 p.m., The Balos Family will be in concert at Spring Valley Reformed Church. The location is 10960 Spring Valley Road, Fulton, IL. The family of nine travels all around the United States performing bluegrass gospel music.
They began their musical adventure when two of their children began taking violin lessons. It wasn’t long before everyone was playing an instrument. Since 2002, when they sang at their first concert outside their home church, they have recorded five CD’s.
They have always loved to sing as a family, but–more importantly–their desire is to encourage believers and witness to the lost. They have had the privilege to play at numerous exciting venues and shared the stage with many bluegrass artists, such as Marty Stuart, Special Consensus, The Sullivan Family, and many others. Also, they have sung with Southern Gospel artist The Collingsworth Family among others.
The concert will be outdoors but will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather. You can enjoy the concert from your car or bring a lawn chair. A love offering will be taken for The Balos Family.
