The audience is in on the action. Did Miss Scarlet do it in the kitchen with a wrench? The audience decides in The Black Box Theatre’s newest offering production, “Clue: The Musical.” Based on the board game, the action follows six characters who may, or may not, be the murderer of host Mr. Bod.
The audience receives forms to help them deduce the solution, using clues given throughout the fun-filled evening. Three audience members choose from cards representing the potential murderers, weapons, and rooms. There are 216 possible solutions! Only one hard-nosed Detective is qualified to unravel the merry mayhem. Even after the culprit confesses, a surprise twist delights the audience.
The cast includes Abbey Donohoe, Ian Sodawasser, Joe Urbanitis, Kathryn Jecklin, Mark McGinn, Nathan Bates, Sara Tubbs, and Meg Price. Directed by David Miller, The Black Box Theatre’s co-founder, with choreography by Tommy Ratkiewicz-Stierwalt with assistance by Leah Miller, music direction by Amy Trimble, Stage Manager Cheri Lyman and Kyle Schneider on piano.
“Clue: The Musical” runs Thursday, March 22, through Saturday, March 31, 2018. Show times are Thursday-through-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
