On Thursday, March 15, 2018, The American Legion turned 99 years old. The American Legion Post 328 in Morrison, IL, celebrated the milestone during their monthly meeting on Monday, March 12, with cake and ice cream.
The oldest and youngest members present cut the cake. They are Service Officer Dennis VanZuiden, left, and Chaplain Bob Brands, right.
Service Officer VanZuiden held the cake, and Finance Officer Jerry Brearton took the photograph. Legionnaires present, left-to-right, were Jr. Vice Commander Erwin H. Stralow, Jack Brearton, Larry Zuidema, Adjutant Ken Petersen, Chaplain Bob Brands, Sr. Vice Commander Terry Jones, Al Buikema, Barry Linder, and Clayton Pearson.
