Through involvement in local churches and organizations, many of you took a tag to purchase a Christmas gift(s) for Morrison, IL, children who might not have received much for Christmas. Several private individuals took a family to buy for.
Advantage One Credit Union took 50+ children’s names and made a tag with a toy listed on it, for their customers to take from the tree in their lobby.
The Student Council students at Morrison High School bought a toy for 50+ children, as well as clothes for 19 children. How awesome! These students raise money throughout the year to do this for kids at Christmas. Also, thanks to their advisor, Melissa Landes, for organizing it for them.
The presents were sorted by family and were picked up. Forty-six families which totaled 107 children will have a better Christmas! Because of monetary donations that are received, the less fortunate may qualify for help with prescription costs, water bills, electricity, heating bills, etc. throughtout the rest of the year.
Without the generous people in Morrison none of this would have been possible. Thank you!
