terry adolphTerry L. Adolph, 63, of Chadwick, IL, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Terry was born March 26, 1951, in Morrison, IL, to Richard and Alice (Queckboerner) Adolph. He was educated in the Fairhaven Grade School and was a 1969 graduate of Chadwick High School. Terry was a veteran of the United States Army. He married Deborah K. Justice on December 21, 1971, in Morrison. Terry was a self-employed trucker and most recently, he worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison. Terry enjoyed farming and helping whoever would need help on the farm. He was a John Deere man, through and through, collecting many garden tractors and John Deere memorabilia over the years. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He treasured being a “Papa.”

Survivors include his wife, Deb; one daughter, Jackie (Gregg) Wiersema of Morrison; two grandchildren, Alicen and Cooper Wiersema; his mother, Alice Adolph of Morrison; two sisters, Sharon (Robert) Kappes of Chadwick and Juanita Adolph of Plains, MT; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Adolph, and his grandparents.

MEMORIAL SERVICE:  10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2104, at Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, IL.

OFFICIATING:  Mr. Ken Renkes, Director of Congregational Care at Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, IL

VISITATION:  4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Holden Cancer Center, and the Medical Associates Cancer Center.
