For months, roof replacement has been an agenda item at Morrison Historical Society Board meetings. President Harvey Zuidema reported on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, that Total Construction Services, Sterling, IL, would remove old shingles the next day. TCS has more than 15 years of comprehensive experience in the Sauk Valley region: interior and exterior construction and reconstruction for residential, industrial, and commercial clients.

By noon on Wednesday, July 17, a crew of six had stripped off old shingles and installed underlayment. Then they stopped for lunch.

Well-orchestrated workers returned for a long day. Their rapid-fire nail guns were rhythmic, as they danced across the roof. Luis waved to the Editor; Avaisail unwrapped the shingle bundles. The west roof was finished by 9:00 p.m., Thursday, July 18.
This is the east elevation of Morrison’s Heritage Museum. Built as a Congregational Church in 1865, the iconic building is sheltered for many years. Admire the fresh look as you visit the museum, Friday-through-Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
In two, sweltering, July days, the new museum roof was installed by a skilled, meticulous team of professionals. The Board of Trustees is gratified. Contact Total Construction Services at 815-213-0704 for a free estimate.
