2013 band lessons will be offered this summer in July and August for Morrison-area students. This is a good opportunity for students to continue playing and making progress through the summer, instead of putting the instrument away.
This is especially important for 5th through 8th grades, but students who are preparing for IMEA or college entrance auditions are also encouraged to take lessons.
Lessons will be held at First Presbyterian Church (Morrison Community Day Care Center), 100 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.
Students from other area schools will also be accepted for summer band lessons.
Lessons will be taught by David Bean, Morrison Schools Band Director. Bean has a Masters Degree in music performance, has been instructing band for 34 years, is a Past-President of the Illinois Music Educators Association, and has had numerous students attend All-State and continue playing music through college.
