Sullivan’s Holiday Open House

Posted by

Preview and sample many holiday goods during the Holiday Open House at Sullivan’s Foods, 300 N. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, on Saturday, November 17, 2012.  The annual event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Consider these activities.

  • Sullivan’s Foods gift cards will be drawn every hour.
  • Children may decorate a free sugar cookie in the Bakery from 10:00 to 3:00.
  • Santa will visit with children from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00; remember to bring a camera or phone.
  • Children who bring in a handmade ornament for the Sullivan’s tree will receive a treat.
  • Cake walks are at 11:00, 12:00, and 1:00 for children age 12 and under.
  • Adults can enjoy wine and cheese sampling from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00.
  • Several tasting stations will be available throughout the store.

Enter the free, 30-second shopping spree at 1:00 p.m.  Sign up before noon.  One lucky person will be drawn at 1:00, and the fun will begin immediately!  Thus, you must be present to win.  Only the person whose name is drawn will be allowed to shop–no substitution.

When asked what items he would choose in his 30 seconds, Assistant Manager Jeramie Reatherford did not hesitate.  “I would head to the meat department.”

Shopping specials will be numerous during the Open House

  • A complete holiday dinner serving–10 to 12–will be $5 off if ordered and paid for on Saturday.
  • Order and pay for a Meat Gift Box and take 5% off.
  • Foil-wrapped pointsettias and holiday fruit and gift baskets are 10% off.
  • Take 5% off the purchase of a Sullivan’s Holiday Gift Card.
  • Any $20 or more gift items ordered and paid for will be delivered free on any Friday in December.

Help the Morrison Friends Food Pantry, too.

“Buy a leaf for $1, and we will donate it to the Morrison [Friends] Food Pantry,” stated Reatherford.  He estimated 150 to 200 had been collected.

Or, purchase pre-filled brown grocery bags containing pasta, canned goods, boxed items, toiletires, and non-perishables.

Gift bags cost $5, $10, and $20–but the items inside total more.

These will be picked up by Food Pantry volunteers on Saturday, November 17.
