The Loft on Main was one of many Morrison, IL, Main Street businesses that saw revenues decline and customer access fluctuate in 2021, during a COVID-19 pandemic and downtown street demolition and reconstruction.
To stay open, inside The Loft on Main, 112 E. Main Street, Board members, staff, and volunteers took health precautions (and maintain them) and offered outside pickup service. Back-door access from Lincolnway was created while street work took place.
In early December, there were 1200+ items available for shopping and/or giving at the gallery. This abundance was created by 43 area artists and included a wide variety of genres.
Customers supported them during the difficult year. On Sunday, January 2, 2022, it was reported that 604 art pieces had been sold. Sales totaled $22,290.91. Happy Last Year and Happy New Year!
Thursday hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On Third Thursday, monthly community get-togethers, the gallery opens at 8:00. Friday and Saturday hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
