Christmas is just over two weeks away, and some Morrison, IL, children have not written their letter to Santa Claus, as of Friday, December 9, 2015.
The United States Postal Service urges children (or their adult helpers) to submit a letter. A hand-written reply will arrive in a timely manner.
A very literate Post Office worker, Ron Wiersema, stated, “Letters must contain the child’s FIRST and LAST NAME with COMPLETE MAILING ADDRESS, in order for a response to find the sender.”
Drop letters into the antique mailbox in the lobby of Morrison Post Office, 226 W. Main Street, Morrison. No postage is required.
A stuffed Santa doll is seated beside the postal box, if children wish to also whisper requests as a backup.
