JenDanceProgramOn Saturday, April 18, 2015, Jennifer’s Dance Center students presented a recital called “Connected”.  25 dances were presented, representing six dance styles: ballet/pointe, clogging, jazz, contemporary, Irish, and Scottish sword. More than 125 dancers ranging from preschool to high school senior participated in the event, displaying the skills they have learned over the last 8 months.

Several dances were choreographed by guest choreographer, Colleen Kosier, including the Irish routines “Cherish the Ladies”, and “The Light”, as well as “The Cotton Club”, a clogging routine which earned the studio a gold medal at the International Dance Challenge 2015.  Highlights of the evening included solos by graduating seniors: Rebecca Pottenger, Whitney Dobbins, Madison Schegel, Emily Kuehl, Kaylie Huizenga, Whitney Misfeldt, and
a contemporary production number entitled “Connected” which featured dancers from several classes which challenged the idea that advances in technology have brought us close to each other.
