Student Entrepreneurs Offer Services

This notice appeared Thursday, June 19, 2014, to advertise the services of two friends, neighbors, and classmates.  It was taped to the Daily Gazette distribution box outside the Post Office, at 226 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL.  Other notices were placed “in a lot of places,” according to one of the boys.

Heavy rains that evening seriously faded the green marker text that Robert Hahn, 10, and Xavier Hall, 11, had written.  The sixth graders are looking for summer work.

The first sentence refers to Robert.  It reads, “dog Walking 815-590-1617 or go to 406 West main St  $5 per dog”

Xavier’s content states, “If you want your lawn mowed, go to 511 West main St  we’ll tell you the price there”
