Sterling Municipal Band hosts the 24th Annual Pops Concert on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. Doors open to the public at 6:00 at Abiding Word Church, 806 E. Lynn Boulevard, Sterling, IL.
Greg Beyer’s Special Guest Artist Group “Acromusical” will perform a musical selection with the band plus provide intermission entertainment.

The SMB program will include selections from
- TV Themes Through the Decades 1947-1992, including Howdy Doody, The Dick Van Dyke Show, I Love Lucy, The Love Boat, and The Golden Girls
- Amparito Roca–Spanish March/a Pas Redouble
- selections from Cabaret, Bricusse and Newley On Broadway, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, and It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

The Sterling Municipal Band, founded in 1938, performs a summer concert series “Music Under the Stars,” that includes ten performances between June and August, at Sterling’s Grandon Civic Center; a Spring Concert in April; the Winter Pops Concert. The Sterling Municipal Band features [student and adult] musicians from the Sauk Valley and Northwest Illinois.
