Activities within a small community often create conflicts with school athletics and personal social demands, but Fulton High School students have found a potential solution.  On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, a Ribbon Cutting ceremony was held prior to the start of a Morrison vs Fulton Girls Basketball game.

From left-to-right were Brad Ottens, Central Bank; River Bend Superintendent Darryl Hogue; High School Principal Bob Gosch; April Davis, Central Bank; Karrie Kenney, Central Bank; Denise Ward, Central Bank; Sandy Engelkens, Central Bank; Kris Klavon, Central Bank.
This ceremony officially opened the Central Bank “Steamer Suite” to the public.  It introduced a concept of utilizing taxpayer facilities with student educational options.  It offers a location to be used for social functions and/or meetings, while giving a view that oversees activities taking place on the Stan Borgman Court.

Central Bank of Fulton has committed to a three-year obligation of partnering with the River Bend School District, to introduce the Steamer Suite to the area.  This collaboration allows students to participate in marketing the features of the Steamer Suite, through the contributions from the Business, Culinary, Art, and Shop classes.

The Steamer Suite offers the community an attractive meeting venue.  It may include a menu prepared by the students of the Culinary class, promoted by the Marketing Class, which overlooks an attractive athletic facility.

Any organization interested in utilizing the Steamer Suite for a future meeting and/or social function can contact the office (815-589-3511) of Fulton High School for details and availability.
