It is coming soon–St. Mary Church Father Daughter Dance, “Denim and Lace.” The theme this year will be a “barn dance” with all of the fun, special gift baskets, and great music that are a part of this special, annual family evening. This year will be the ninth year for the dance.
The popular event invites the Morrison, IL, community’s young ladies of all ages, and their favorite family escort to share an evening of dancing at St.Mary’s Parish Hall, 13320 Garden Plain Road.
The “Denim and Lace” evening will be Friday, April 25, 2014, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. We are extending the dance by a half hour to provide more time to take individual and group pictures, which have become such an important part of this evening. The 6:30 to 7:00 period will allow for additional picture taking time, with music for dancing from 7:00 to 9:00.
Morrison young ladies invite their favorite family escort–father, grandfather, uncle, or brother–for a memorable evening of music and dancing and fun. Admission is $20 at the door for all escorts but free for all young ladies. Admission provides the evening’s
- entertainment: music by Trent Bush
- raffle baskets full of surprises and springtime gifts
- delicious refreshments.
This spring dance has become well-attended by many families of Morrison. We, again, look forward to this very fun and special evening for the family…under the stars and around the ol’ corral.
