St. Mary’s Catholic Church invites the public to the annual drop-off baby shower, to support two area pregnancy centers: Gianna House and Pregnancy Center at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls, IL, and Clinton Pregnancy Center, Clinton, IA.
St. Gianna is the patron saint of mothers, physicians, and unborn children.
To “attend,” simply drive to the church, 13320 Garden Plain Road, Morrison, IL, with a new, unwrapped item or monetary donation. Baby gifts will be collected through next weekend, ending Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Inside the Parish Hall is a cradle that awaits donations; large items should be left on the floor. Cash or personal checks should be inserted into a large, plastic baby bottle, which is in the crib. Make checks payable to either “Gianna House” or “Clinton Pregnancy Center.”
Neither center is allowed to accept cribs, due to safety regulations. Both will accept new-in-the-box car seats.
Baby gifts will be collected through next weekend, ending Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
- Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Saturday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (The church will be open for Mass at this time.)
- Sunday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. (The church will be open for Mass at this time.)
