Eight 10-and-Under Seahorses competed in the Stateline Summer Conference Meet on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Byron[, IL,] High School. Morrison hosted the 11 and Over Conference Meet on Wednesday, July 13, and 15 Seahorses participated. Overall the Seahorses had 53 Lifetime Best swims and had 56 Top 12 finishes. The Seahorses also had two Conference Champions at the 10 and Under meet: Jacob Allison won the 8 and Under 100 IM. Bella Duncan won the 8 and Under 25 Freestyle. At the 11 and Over meet the Seahorses had two relay teams that were Conference Champions. Lindsey Houldson, Kate Henson, Emily Henson, and Gracen Harmon were on the winning 14 and Under 200 Medley relay team. BayLeigh Brewer, Laney Edgeton, Landri Harmon, and Schyon Drolema were on the winning 12 and Under 200 Freestyle relay team. Skylar Drolema swam a Zone Qualifying Time in the 200 IM and will represent Team Illinois at the 2016 Mega Zone 14 and Under Age Group Championships, in Indianapolis, IN, on Thursday, August 4, through Sunday, August 7. The last Seahorse to qualify and compete at Zones was Mitchell Story back in 2003. Congratulations to the Seahorses on a fantastic meet! The Seahorse results follow.
