June 19, 1925 - December 08, 2008 GLORIA J. GOODENOUGH, 83, of Four Seasons Living Center, Morrison, IL, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at the living center. Gloria was born on June 19, 1925, in Morrison, IL, to Onno and Minnie (Herren) Onken. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She attended beautician’s school in Rock Falls, IL. Gloria married Kenneth Rick on October 25, 1946 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1954. She later married Arthur H. Goodenough on July 2, 1966 in Morrison. He died on October 10, 1966. She was a self-employed beautician, operating from her home. She was then employed as a secretary at General Electric in Morrison, and also for the former Volckmann’s Furniture Factory in Morrison. Later she worked as a hostess at the Forest Inn Restaurant in Morrison. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Morrison. Survivors include two daughters, Coan Dow of Delray Beach, FL and Colleen Rick (Michael Waller) of Morrison, IL; two grandchildren, Gloria (Michael) Evers and Christina Dow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; four brothers, Lester, William, Raymond and Russell Onken. Funeral Information FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM Friday – December 12, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church – Morrison, IL OFFICIATING: Rev. Michael Selburg – Pastor: First Presbyterian Church – Morrison, IL VISITATION: 12 Noon until time of funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church – Morrison, IL. The Morrison Chapel – Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
