PAUL R. SAWYER, 93, of 16371 Habben Road, Sterling, IL died Friday, December 5, 2008 at Four Seasons Living Center in Morrison, IL.

Paul was born on April 9, 1915 in Zena, OH to William and Dana (Campbell) Sawyer. He attended the Geneseo High School in Geneseo, IL. He married Margaret E. George on September 14, 1938 in Clinton, IA. Paul was engaged in rural farming his entire life in the Hopkins Township area. He was a member of the Cordova Baptist Church in Cordova, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; one son, Richard (Frances) Sawyer of Morrison, IL; one sister, Phoebe “Peggy” (William) Sigsworth of Moline, IL; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Myrta George of Kingswood, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Irma, Dorothy, Faith and Grace.

PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICES: Monday – December 8, 2008 at the Grove Hill Cemetery – Morrison, IL

OFFICIATING: Rev. Kathy Remley – Pastor: Cordova Baptist Church – Cordova, IL

THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION: The Morrison Chapel – Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery – Morrison, IL
